Here's what each command does. There are two separate bots — RS3
and OSRS — with the same features. The OSRS bot uses
/osprice and /osalerts instead of
/price and /alerts, so both can sit in
the same server without their commands overlapping.
/price <item> (RS3) · /osprice <item> (OSRS)
Look up an item's current buy price (insta-buy), sell price (insta-sell), buy limit, item ID, GE trade volume (1d/7d/30d), and the last few actual trades.
Every lookup is a live call to the wiki's price API — you're not getting a cached or delayed number.
Search covers every tradeable item for that game — the full list, not just a common-items shortlist.
As you type, Discord shows a dropdown of matching items so you can just pick one instead of typing the full name.
The item list itself refreshes automatically every hour, so newly released or renamed items show up without needing a bot update.
The sell price also shows what you'd actually get in hand after GE tax — 2% in RS3, and 2% capped at 5,000,000 gp per item in OSRS (bonds are exempt in both).
You can type common abbreviations instead of the full name. RS3: sgs, ags, fsoa, dhide, obby, soil. OSRS: sgs, ags, tbow, dclaws, sotd, dhide, obby. If your search matches more than one item, you'll get a numbered list to pick from, with Next/Back buttons if there are more than 5 matches.
There's a button to set a price alert on the item — you can type the target price as shorthand (9.1b, 850m) instead of the full number.
There's a "💹 Price Chart" button showing a 7-day price history graph (buy/sell), visible only to you.
There's a "📢 Notify on GE Trade" button where you pick how many trades to watch for (1-50) — you'll get a DM with the price each time the item is actually bought or sold on the GE, until that count is reached. Handy for low-volume items (partyhats etc.) where waiting for a price target doesn't make sense.
A search result list stays active for 15 minutes — after that, its buttons expire and you'll need to search again.
/alerts (RS3) · /osalerts (OSRS)
Shows all your active price alerts and trade-watches — target price, current price, and how close you are. This is a view-only overview; to set a new alert, use the buttons under /price / /osprice.
Both alert types are checked every 5 minutes.
Price-target alerts DM you and then clear automatically once hit.
Trade-watch alerts fire for as many trades as you set (1-50), then clear automatically — set a new one anytime if you want to keep watching.
Each alert has its own remove button, so you can clean up ones you don't need anymore.
/feedback
Opens a short form to send a suggestion, idea, or bug report straight to the developer. Same command name on both bots.
Notes
Prices come from the RuneScape Wiki's live price API and can lag the in-game GE by a few minutes.
